About me
My quest for inspiration, my affinity with language and communication, and my passion for how people learn: I incorporate all this in what I do as a trainer, coach and facilitator.
_Broad interests
My quest to seek out people and ideas that inspire me and expand my horizons began as a teenager, and my passion for language and communication has been with me every step of the way. I have a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and also spent time working as a simultaneous interpreter.
_How do people learn?
This question has fascinated me for as long as I can remember as there are so many different thought and views on the topic. Early on in my career, I began working with this idea and became a lecturer at the Erasmus University College, where I taught students who were only a few years younger than me.
My age meant I didn’t immediately exude authority, so I started to think about what appealed to my students, about how and why they learn. My approach worked. Over the years, I began providing training to companies. After in-house training as a communication trainer, I realised that this was where my talents lie.

_Branching out on my own
I expanded my field of interest. Master NLP, various intensive coaching programmes, appreciative inquiry, brain learning, cooperative learning, mindfulness, stress and burn-out coaching, personality tools such as DISC and MBTI: I have incorporated them all in custom programmes as a self-employed trainer and coach.
I have also been a partner of SD Worx Learning, Febelfin Academy and Quintessence Consulting for over ten years.
